Are you Proud to be a Republican?

Are you proud to be a member of the Republican Party? I know it is a strange question to ask, but it’s one that is worth asking. It seems that many people think the word, Republican, to be dirty or a word that is spoken in disgust. It also seems that many Republican themselves are scared to say that they are a member of, or that they are affiliated with the GOP. Why? Are they afraid they won’t get the support from the masses if they admit it? Are they afraid that they will be shunned by their friends or co-workers if they say they are a Republican? I can’t answer these questions, only ask them, well ask you them. You see, I am a Republican, and I am proud of it. I am not a racist because I’m a Republican. I am not a member of the economic elite because I’m a Republican. I am not a terrorist because I’m a Republican. I am a Republican because I believe in small government. I am a Republican because I believe that it is the right for every American Citizen to earn the American dream. I am a Republican because I believe the United States is the land of opportunity and freedom, and all opportunity and all freedom, is worth fighting for.
As a member of the Republican Party, I am privileged to be associated with a great political heritage. One that began with a dream to abolish slavery, because all men were created equal and should be treated so. Abraham Lincoln believed in that, and he was a great Republican. The GOP went on to play a leading role in the civil rights era, again fighting for the rights of all Americans, women and men, of all colors, to be treated equal. One Republican, Martin Luther King Jr., helped win that fight. After years of economic turmoil, it was a Republican president by the name of Ronald Regan, who brought back America from that near disaster. You see my friends we have a long wonderful history to be proud of, not ashamed of. So the next time you’re asked, who did you vote for? Are you a Republican? How do you feel about the current left wing administration’s policies? What are you going to say? I know what I will say! I voted for a Republican! I am proud to be a Republican! I am a Republican and I believe that the current administration is ruining America and the American Dream!
So, in conclusion, the next time you’re asked the questions above or asked who supports your group, or what affiliation you are? Tell them you are a member of the Republican Party.
